Groups

Great Barrier Buses has a fleet of buses on the island and can accommodate groups of up to 150 persons. In reality most group sizes are between 15 and 35 persons. We have a variety of different vehicles that can cater for passengers with large amounts of luggage
Once we get a group booking we are able to modify any itinerary to suit the group's wishes. Most groups will be provided with their own driver or drivers who can stay with the group for the duration of their stay.
We usually cater for several large groups each year and these have included;
Tramping Clubs, Schools, Universities & Colleges, Wedding Groups & Birthday Parties.

Sometimes the groups are part trampers & part backup team. In this case we usually give the backup team a vehicle so they can travel independently to the next meeting point en route. This means they can carry most of the luggage.

With all this experience we can offer the best advice on how to plan such trips and take into account the ever changing environment on Great Barrier Island.

In the case of larger groups or school groups we offer complementary travel for group leaders & school teachers.
